The WSPII and WSPIII series tap changer switches are designed by the team at Wenzhou Best Imp. Exp Co., Ltd., specifically for oil immersed transformers, enabling voltage level adjustment by switching winding taps.

WSPII and WSPIII series tap changer switches are suitable for oil-immersed power transformers operating at 50 Hz or 60 Hz frequencies , including both three-phase and single-phase transformers. It covers maximum equipment voltage ratings of 12 kV, 20 kV, and 35 kV, with rated currents of 63 A, 125 A, and 250 A, and offers configurations with 3, 5, and 7 positions. Both models can be directly mounted on the transformer tank cover or tank wall, and support tap changing under no-excitation (de-energized) conditions.

Note:

1.Tap changer switch with a current rating of 63A is suitable for transformer tank covers with thicknesses ranging from 5 to 8 mm (except for single-phase transformers);
2.Tap changer switch with a current rating of 125A is suitable for transformer tank covers with thicknesses ranging from 5 to 10 mm;
3.Tap changer switch with a current rating of 250A is suitable for transformer tank covers with thicknesses ranging from 8 to 14 mm.

4.The moving contact structure is available in two types: clamping type and rolling type. The clamping type has no specific model suffix; if the rolling type is required, please specify it at the time of ordering.

5.We can manufacture tap switches with custom protrusion heights under the tank cover according to customer requirements.

6.For any other special requirements, please contact Wenzhou Best Imp. Exp Co., Ltd. team before placing an order to obtain technical support.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What are WSPII or WSPIII series off-load tap changers?
WSPII and WSPIII series off-load tap changers are specifically designed to adjust winding tap positions when the transformer is completely de-energized. This adjustment changes the turns ratio of the windings, helping the transformer maintain the required output voltage under different operating conditions. The specific model selected depends on the transformer's design, rated voltage, current, and tap configuration.

Q2: What factors should be considered when selecting an off-load voltage regulator switch for a transformer?
When selecting an off-load voltage regulator switch, consider the transformer's rated voltage, rated current, number of tap positions, connection method, insulation requirements, and installation dimensions. Additionally, compatibility with the transformer's winding and internal structure is crucial. Always confirm technical specifications and model configurations with the manufacturer prior to placing an order.
