A De-Energized Tap Changer is a transformer voltage regulating device. It is suitable for three-phase or single-phase oil-immersed power transformers with rated voltages from 10kV to 35kV, maximum equipment voltage up to 40.5kV, and rated currents from 20A to 400A.
A De-Energized Tap Changer operates under off-circuit conditions, where both the primary and secondary sides of the transformer are disconnected from the power supply. By changing the position of the high-voltage side tap, the winding turns ratio is altered to adjust and stabilize the secondary voltage. The operating temperature range of the tap changer in oil is generally -25℃ to 100℃.
A De-Energized Tap Changer are mainly classified by structure into rotary type (WSP type), linear type (WST, WDT type), cage type, and drum (pipe) type.

All De-Energized Tap Changer designed by Wenzhou Best Imp. &Exp. Co., Ltd meet requirements for electrical insulation strength, contact tightness, conductivity, operational reliability, ease of operation, dynamic and thermal stability, and mechanical strength. Some products use a multi-piece parallel double-spring structure for the moving contact to maintain stable contact pressure and enhance short-circuit withstand capability.
Wenzhou Best Imp. &Exp. Co., Ltd model usually includes information such as de-energized voltage regulation, number of phases, structure type, location of voltage regulating device, rated current, voltage level, number of taps and number of tap positions. Common models include WSPⅢ63/10-3×3, WSTⅡ63/10-4×3, etc. [12] The model suffix "Z" represents metal base (reinforced type), and "F" represents reverse voltage regulation.
